Opening of the Sixth International Biennial of Visual Arts, where young writers and masters of culture from Russia, Japan, Vietnam, China, Korea will present their work at the fairgrounds, will be held in Vladivostok on Friday, told RIA Novosti.
“Sixth Vladivostok Biennale of Visual Arts is a creative artists festival of culture. The young authors and masters of culture from Russia, Japan, Vietnam, China will present their work in six spheres: arts (painting, drawing, installation), photography (artistic photography, photomontage, video, photo projects, photo-collage), art (arts and crafts, calligraphy, manga comics, ikebana, tea ceremony), musical and theatrical art, design, web design, art-projects “.
According to her, the festival will cover virtually all the cultural sites of the city. Master-classes, presentations, exhibitions, concerts, performances will take place in the halls of public cultural institutions “Primorsky State United Museum. Arseniev and the Museum of Modern Art Artetage” in the halls and on the territory of Vladivostok Fortress Museum, the exhibition the halls of the Union of Artists, in the territory of Vladivostok universities – FESTU, VGUES, Far Eastern State University, as well as in the Primorsky regional puppet theater, Seaside Regional Philharmonic and others.
“Among the foreign participants: artists from the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Region (China), Nanjing (China), Busan (South Korea), the master of folk arts “Bohai” from Mudantszyana (PRC), photographers from Japan, Vietnam, China, Actors from Japan and Vietnam. The first Biennale was held in Vladivostok in April 1998 under the motto “From the world’s theater – the theater of the World” and brought together participants from Vladivostok in Russia, Japan, Korea, China, Germany and Vietnam. Then it was only represented by a theatrical direction. His skill demonstrated 9 theaters in Japan and Russia. Since the first festival, it was decided to go beyond the theatrical Biennale and turn it into Biennale of Visual Arts.
